Al Noor Mecca (Division 1) agreed terms with 32-year old Syrian international forward Wael Jlilaty (199cm-1990) for new 2022-23 season.


Jlilaty played last season at Al Ittihad (Ahli-Aleppo) in Syrian SBL league. In 8 games he had very impressive stats: 18.8ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.4apg.

He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Jlilaty also played for Duba Club in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 8 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 18.8ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.4apg and 1.0spg.

He represented Syria at the West Asia Basketball Championship in Amman (Jordan) five years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 6.6ppg, 1.0rpg, FGP: 55.6%, 3PT: 27.3%, FT: 57.1%.
Jlilaty has played also professionally for other Syrian teams like Al Wahda and Al Jalaa.
